At Bowernet we practice the simple rules of website design - a site should be rich enough in content to be of use but quick to download and easy to surf. Too many sites on the internet are filled with unnecessary graphics and cluttered design. In 5 years of using the internet we have found the sites we like are the ones that are easy to navigate and actually make surfing enjoyable and quick.

This is the philosophy we have adopted when designing sites for our customers, so we ensure that the images we put on are relevant and complement the site rather than just make it look pretty. Despite the increase in broadband take up there is still a huge majority of internet users on dial-up connections, so the time to download pages is still a critical factor in our design. If you are thinking of using us as your website design company we will work with you to design a site that meets your requirements and is both easy to use and easy on the eye.

No matter if you want a static, 5-page site or a dynamic 50-page E-Commerce shop we can help you achieve your aims. We have experience of developing in ASP, PHP and SQL/ACCESS databases, so if you need a dynamic site that will not be a problem for us. Alternatively we have also developed small, static sites that provide information quickly and efficiently. Whatever your requirements are we can turn them into reality.

Each site we design and build is as individual as the client themselves. Unlike other web design companies we don't simply use the same template for all our clients, so each site we design is different to the next. We encourage our clients to create their own designs and we help turn them into reality.

Website Maintenance

As part of our services we also offer the ability to update your current website (if you have one). If your site hasn't been updated in a while it can very quickly start to look stale and we can help you update to a more modern look. Also if your webmaster is no longer available we can help you to keep your site maintained on a regular basis. Varying periods of regular support are available on a weekly, monthly or even yearly basis.

Website Hosting & Email

We can also help you decide on choice of host and help you setup your email and ftp accounts. As you can see we use 1&1 for our hosting, but you can choose whomever you feel most comfortable with. You also have the choice of letting us handle the day-to-day running of your site; letting you update the content and leaving the technical details to us; or handing over complete control of the site to yourselves. As we have said before, we will meet your requirements.

We can also help you to arrange your email addresses and help you setup your email client software to access your new email accounts.
